Once upon a time there were lovers that decided to follow a dream and so they shall be called "The Dreamers". They set up in a small town far from home. In order to make their dream a reality, they had to hire employees from all over the land. They brought the employees to the new and distant land, gave them a fair rate of pay, and better housing then most had ever had in a previous job. The employees arrived and were treated with respect and allowed their personal freedom. They shall now be called "The Players". Friendships were quickly formed between the players and the dreamers and amongst the players themselves. Everyone seemed to get along beautifully. When it came time to get to work, several players found the work to be too hard and left the group. New players were found and the work continued. The Dreamers were pleased with their progress. Now, one of the dreamers had asked to have one of the players trained to be a substitute should she not be able to perform her work for some reason. She had had some medical problems earlier in the year and with a sick family member she thought it would be best to have a back-up plan. The other dreamer agreed and saw to it that sub was trained and on standby. The substitute was grateful for the opportunity and seemed very interested in the work and took great care to learn everything the dreamer did so should be called up to duty should would be ready. During one of the work days, the substitute was given the chance to perform all the duties of the dreamer to help her with her preparation. Little did the dreamer know that the player had been secretly putting together a posse of haters to rally around her and help her qualify her rumblings that she should take the place of the dreamer. For certainly she was younger and stronger than the dreamer and deserved it. The sub quickly found a few supporters...others that were hateful and spiteful of the dreamers. Why did this spite exist in the players that had been given the opportunity to do a job they loved with pay and benefits such as free housing? I really can't say. But I can say that once the job is complete, they will never be allowed to poison the dream again. The dreamers will also see to it, that they don't poison the lives of any other dreamers in the future. The moral of the story is that Karma is a bitch, kids. It will always come back to bite you in the ass. Maybe not right away...but it will come for you. Being a spiteful player will not help you in the long run.
